IBPS PO 2024 Online Application
The IBPS PO 2024 test registration process will take place online at www.ibps.in between August 1st and August 21st, 2024. The registration dates were released along with the release of the IBPS PO 2024 Notification on July 29, 2024.
All eligible and interested candidates must register online for the recruitment process using the official IBPS website, @ibps.in. The application procedure is stated to be completed when the duly completed application form and the appropriate fee are submitted, as well as the uploading of signatures, pictures, IBPS PO Handwritten Declaration, and documents. The three-tiered selection procedure includes preliminary and main exams, which will be administered online, followed by interviews. IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria required for IBPS PO 2024 Exam in terms of educational degree, computer literacy, language proficiency, and age limit has been discussed below-
IBPS PO Educational Qualification
Graduation Degree: The eligibility conditions for the IBPS CRP exam are as simple as obtaining a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech, or equivalent) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Any applicant with an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government is eligible to apply for this exam.
Candidates must have a valid mark sheet / Degree Certificate certifying that they are a graduate on the day they register for this test, as well as the percentage of marks received in graduation, when registering for the IBPS Bank-PO examination.
Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of computer systems is required for the work as well as to give the IBPS PO exam that is conducted.
Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT is desirable. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants
A candidate applying for the IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:
- Citizens of India.
- Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire,Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

IBPS PO Recruitment 2024
Every year, Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are hired through a Common Recruitment Process (CRP), also known as the IBPS PO exam. The CRP began in 2011 and is being conducted for the 13th time this year, hence the formal name IBPS PO /MT CRP XIV 2024. The IBPS PO selection process comprises of three rounds (preliminary, mains, and interview), and the candidate must pass each one to advance to the next. The following are the essential steps of the IBPS PO Recruitment Process:
Online Preliminary Examination: IBPS shortlists a suitable number of candidates in each category based on the requirements for the online main examination.
Online Mains Examination: To be considered for an interview, candidates must meet both the sectional and overall cutoffs in the main exam.
Interview:The interview will be done by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/UT, with the assistance of IBPS.
Final Result:The final result is determined by candidates’ combined performance in the IBPS PO Mains and Interview rounds.
Provisional Allotment:The provisional allotment of qualifying candidates is made available on the official website. IBPS Banks are allotted based on candidates’ preferences submitted during the online application process.
IBPS participates in the selection process just until the tentative allotment to various banks. After that, the different banks are responsible for informing qualified candidates about their joining dates and procedures.

IBPS PO 2024 Exam Pattern
IBPS implemented unique sections timings for each section of the preliminary test. The IBPS PO exam (CRP XIII) for hiring applicants will be an online written exam divided into two parts: Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Main Exam. The examination is followed by a face-to-face interview.
The IBPS PO preliminary test will last 1 hour and 20 minutes for each component and will be held online. It has three sections, a total of 100 questions, and a maximum score of 100 marks. Candidates must qualify in each of the three examinations by achieving the minimal cut-off marks determined by IBPS. IBPS will shortlist a suitable number of applicants in each category based on the requirements for the Online Main Examination.
IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024
The IBPO PO Main test is also held online, with 5(4+1) sections, a total score of 200+25 marks, and a total time of 180+30 minutes. IBPS will administer a descriptive paper in its mains test to select applicants for the position of Probationary Officer. The components must be completed in the same order and time as specified at the time of the exam. To be eligible for an interview, a candidate must pass both the preliminary and mains examinations.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:There is a penalty for incorrect responses noted in the Objective Tests of both the Preliminary and Main exams. A candidate’s incorrect answer to an objective question will result in a penalty of one-fourth of the marks allocated to the question. For example, a bad answer to a question worth one point will result in a penalty of 0.25 marks. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank, which means no answer is marked by the candidate.
IBPS PO Interview
Candidates who pass the mains exam are invited to a face-to-face interview with a maximum score of 100. The minimal qualifying mark for the interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
The interview round lasts approximately 15-20 minutes, during which a panel of bank personnel questions the candidates about themselves, the banking sector, current events, general awareness, and so on. Candidates must be well-dressed, confident, and bring all necessary documents to the interview.
The final merit list is compiled using the scores achieved in the main examination and interview. IBPS calculates the final score using an 80:20 weightage of marks for the main exam and interview.
Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam
The final result for the IBPS PO exam is derived with the following factors in mind:
- The Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) marks will not be considered in the final score and will only be used to qualify for the Mains Exam (Tier-2).
- To be considered for final merit, candidates must first pass Phase 2 and then an interview.
- The weightage (ratio) of the IBPS PO Main exam and interview in the final merit list would be 80:20, respectively.
- The aggregate score out of 100 is utilized to determine the final merit list for each category. Candidates with the highest merit rank in each category are finally chosen.

IBPS PO 2024 Admit Card & Call Letter
Candidates must download the IBPS PO 2024 admit card from the bank’s official website, since paper copies will not be mailed to candidates. To log on to the official website, candidates will require the following:

The admit card would be available 10 to 15 days before the IBPS PO 2024 examination. The admit card or call letter for the IBPS PO Exam 2024 will be released in three phases.

IBPS PO 2024 Result
IBPS will disclose the results once each segment of the examination is completed. The Final Merit list for each state and category will be created in descending order of the candidates’ marks in the Online Main Exam and interview. Candidates who match the number of positions on the merit list will be considered for appointment, subject to medical fitness.
